After serving in the military, Jesus Carbajal felt a deep calling to take a different path—one rooted in purpose, community, and positive impact. During a long conversation with a relative in Mexico Antonio Gomez, the idea to start a produce company was born, building on a family legacy. Jesus’s uncle had worked in the produce industry in the 1980s, bringing valuable experience, while Jesus brought discipline and a mission-driven mindset.

Starting from humble beginnings, Jesus faced many challenges—from managing a 45,000 cases of limes alone in Seattle, WA with no clients or warehouse, to selling produce case by case out of an old van. With perseverance, grit, and the unwavering support of his business partner, they overcame every obstacle. Discovering a vibrant market in Los Angeles, Jesus made the bold decision With his right hand partner Sandra Cortes to relocate and plant new roots, growing the business stronger each day.

Now, nearly 10 years later, Green Planet Traders, Inc. Will  proudly operate a packinghouse in Mexico that supports families and communities by providing high-quality mangos straight from the trees to customers. The company’s commitment goes beyond business; in honor of Jesus’s uncle, who passed away from cancer, Green Planet Traders will  donate to cancer foundations with every box purchased.
